Sarah Pottle, LPC

There is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. Each and every client is different and it is my goal as a counselor to provide a unique therapeutic experience that is geared toward the specific needs of my clients. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe atmosphere in which I can assist you in navigating the ever changing seasons of life. I practice from a holistic approach in which you will be seen, heard, valued, and understood as a whole person. Collaboratively, we will build upon your already established strengths, coping skills, and insight in order to foster positive personal growth and work toward your therapeutic goals. In addition to talk therapy, I value the incorporation of meditation, mindfulness, and spirituality.

I attended Loyola University Chicago where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and minored in Criminal Justice. I graduated from National Louis University with my Master’s in Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my academic career as a graduate student I had the opportunity to work in both inpatient residential and outpatient settings as a counselor. My scope of practice includes anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, identity, chronic illness, life transitions, body image, and relationships.

As a counselor, it is essential that I hold myself to a high standard of inclusivity for people no matter your age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnic background, or socioeconomic status. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and I look forward to understanding you and your story so far.
