Every individual is unique.  Every individual is capable. Counseling is a collaborative relationship that helps create pathways to achieve goals and foster self-esteem to help you advocate for yourself and your needs.  Along with any concerns you bring to session, every part of you will be respected, validated, and affirmed. I strive to create a holistic and safe environment to foster positive outcomes with goals you have identified, as well as, the building of personal insight and effective coping skills.  I invite my clients to explore several therapeutic intervention types such as talk therapy, EMDR, music, artistic activities, mindfulness, and meditation.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal and Social Justice from Ashford University.   I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Master’s in Science in Counseling along with Master’s Level professional certifications in Trauma-Informed Counseling and LGBT Studies and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC).   Along with academic coursework, I have also completed training to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, identity, and trauma. My experiences also include working with all ages, individual outpatient, families, and residential facilities.

Along with affirmation of all parts of you including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual identification, and age, I am sex-positive and I am able to work with people in a variety of relationships, whether they are monogamous, polyamorous, BDSM, or kink-identified.I am also an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist.
