I strongly believe that we are all doing the best we can at any time with the tools and experiences we have available to us. In building our therapeutic relationship and throughout our work together, you can expect to feel validated, heard, and challenged as we collaborate to initiate your desired changes. We will work together to create a safe and supportive environment where we can work to set goals, explore areas of challenge, and widen your tool belt.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have received both my Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. I have worked in multiple clinical settings including PHP/IOP, outpatient private practice, and hospitals. I have experience working with adolescents, emerging adults, adults, groups, and families.
I enjoy working with and have extensive experience serving the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. With my previous experience working with LGBTQIA+ youth and adults in mental health settings as well as with TGNC folx in Rush Medical Center’s Gender Affirmation Surgery Clinic, I work to provide an affirming and safe space with unconditional positive regard to address any needs and goals you may have. These may include sexual and gender exploration, discussing and exploring gender affirming needs including social transition, hormones and/or surgeries, and formation of positive and fulfilling relationships.
My treatment modalities are tailored to my clients needs and may range from CBT, DBT, ACT, solution focused therapy, mindfulness, and trauma informed practices. I look forward to meeting and sharing a space with you.
